GUWAHATI, September 27: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday visited the Kahilipara residence of late legendary singer and musician Zubeen Garg to personally offer condolences to the grieving family.
Scindia met Zubeen’s father, wife, and other close relatives, spending time with them in a moment of deep sorrow. In a social media post, the minister later wrote, “Paid my heartfelt condolences to the family of Zubeen Garg ji in Guwahati.”
Earlier in the day, Scindia had also paid tribute to Zubeen during the BSNL ‘Swadeshi’ 4G launch programme in Guwahati, where he recalled the artist’s unmatched contribution to music and culture.
The visit marks yet another instance of national leaders acknowledging the massive cultural impact of Zubeen Garg, whose sudden demise in Singapore on September 19 left Assam and the Northeast in mourning.
Zubeen, often called the King of Millions of Hearts, continues to be remembered through tributes, gatherings, and public homage across Assam.
