Guwahati, Sept 28: The Rehabari Bilpar Durga Puja Committee has brought a traditional yet artistic touch to this year’s festivities with a beautifully designed terracotta-themed pandal.
The theme draws inspiration from India’s ancient clay art, featuring intricate terracotta-style designs across the pandal structure and décor. From the archways to the backdrop of the protima (idol), earthy hues and handcrafted details reflect the timeless craftsmanship associated with Bengal’s heritage.
Organisers said the idea was to highlight indigenous art forms while keeping the Puja atmosphere rooted in culture and tradition. “Terracotta has always been a part of our cultural expression. Through this theme, we wanted to connect today’s generation with that legacy,” shared a committee member.
Visitors have praised the setup as both elegant and spiritually grounding, making it one of the standout pandals in the Rehabari area this Puja season.
