Garima Garg Appeals for Calm, Thanks Public and Authorities Amid Zubeen Da’s Final Journey

In the middle of an overwhelming wave of grief and chaos, Garima Garg, wife of late singer Zubeen Garg, released an emotional video message on Saturday evening, her hands folded in gratitude and her voice breaking with emotion.

“Please, Let Everything Happen Peacefully”

Addressing Zubeen’s fans and the people of Assam, Garima appealed for patience and calm during the singer’s final journey:
“You all have been Zubeen’s biggest strength — in life and in death. Please, I request you, let everything happen peacefully. We will all get to see him one last time, we will all meet him for the final farewell.”

Gratitude to Administration

Visibly emotional, she thanked the Assam Government, the administration, and Guwahati Police for their constant support. She acknowledged the efforts of the police in managing the massive crowds outside their Kahilipara residence over the past 24 hours.
“We are grateful for how everyone is standing with us in this difficult time,” she said, pausing often to hold back tears.

A Personal Plea

Garima also urged fans to respect her family’s private moments with Zubeen when his mortal remains reach Guwahati tomorrow:
“Let us have our final moments with him quietly. After that, all of you, his people, will get your chance to pay tribute.”

She further appealed to the public not to create trouble or speak ill of Siddharth:
“Let Siddharth be with him in this last journey. Don’t think anything bad of him. I will need him to carry forward what Zubeen had planned.”

Breaking Down Mid-Message

Her voice cracked as she ended her address, breaking down before folding her hands once more. The video has since gone viral across Assam, with fans sharing it widely while promising to honor her request for dignity and peace during Zubeen Da’s last rites.
