Guwahati, Sept 28: The Riverside Sporting Club in Pandu has kicked off its Durga Puja celebrations with a grand opening, unveiling a mesmerising protima (idol) that is already winning the hearts of visitors.
Organisers described this year’s setup as one of their most memorable, blending devotion with artistry. The beautifully crafted idol of Goddess Durga, accompanied by intricate decorations, has created an ambience that draws both locals and Puja enthusiasts from across the city.
“We wanted this year’s Puja to be truly special and unforgettable for the community. The protima is the soul of our celebration, and we invite everyone to visit and experience the festive spirit with us,” said a member of the Riverside Sporting Club.
The pandal is open for visitors throughout the festive days, with cultural programmes and community gatherings also planned to add to the celebratory mood.
