To manage the expected surge in festive travel, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate 14 pairs of Holi Special trains for a total of 128 trips across the zone. Among them, additional services connecting Guwahati with Agartala have been scheduled for March 2026.
While 11 pairs of special trains have been running since February, three more pairs will operate between Tata Nagar–Katihar, Agartala–Guwahati, and Kishanganj–Lalkuan during the Holi period.
