Police identified the accused as:
- Abdullah Hussain (23), a resident of Bhagadattapur
- Saddam Hussain, from Jhagrapar, Dhubri
- Moyan Ali, from Gossaigaon
Abdullah Hussain was the first to be apprehended, following which further investigation led to the arrest of the other two, officials said.

Police said the victims were taken from Hotel Seven Heaven to Nath Jewellery on Sewali Path, where they were coerced into purchasing a gold necklace worth ₹64,000.
In addition to the jewellery purchase, the accused allegedly took:
- ₹30,000 in cash, and
- ₹30,000 through an online transfer
The total amount involved in the case stands at ₹64,000, police added.
