Direct Train Between Mizoram & Assam’s Capital Now Operational
September 13, 2025 – Indian Railways has officially opened bookings for the new Sairang–Guwahati Express, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Operated by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), the service will directly link Mizoram with Assam’s capital, covering 494 km in 13 hours 30 minutes.
The Sairang–Guwahati Express (15610/15609) is now open for booking. Sleeper fares start at ₹300, AC-3 at ₹800, and AC-2 at ₹1,130. It covers 494 km with 11 stops via Lumding, running daily.
